About Recipe

Tofu is a food made by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks. It is low cal high protein food.It is of chineese origin.I cooked in indian style.

Ingredients

1 pound tofu,cut into cubes.(medium or firm).

1/2 cup onions.

1 cup chopped tomatoes.

1 green capsicum.

1 red capsicum.

2 green chillies.

1tsp ginger garlic paste.

pinch of turmeric.

2tsp coriander powder.

1tsp cumin powder.

1tsp chilli powder.

1/2tsp garam masala.

1tsp kasoorimethi/dry fenugreek leaves powder.

1/2 tsp each cumin and mustard seeds.

2tbsp oil.

salt to taste.

Cooking Procedure

n 1. Drain water and cut tofu into 1/2 inch pieces.nn 2. In a non stick pan add oil and fry tofu till they get light brown color.nn 3.In a fresh pan add oil,cumin and mustard seeds.nn 4.Let them splutter and add onions,fry them till they become translucent.nn 5.Add turmeric ginger garlic paste,salt,green chillies.nn 6.Add coriander,cumin  and chilli pwders.nn 7.Add tomatoes and cook till oil separates.nn 8.Now add capsicum,cover and cook on medium heat till they become tender.nn 9.Add fried tofu ,garam masala and kasthurimethi .nn 10.mix well and simmer for 10  mins.serve with roti.n
