Mashed Tomato Curry

Ingredients

1/2 Kg Tomatoes Each Cut into 4 Pieces

1.5 Table Spoon Sesame Seeds (Nuvvulu / Thil)

1/2 Tea Spoon Fenugreek Seeds (Menthulu)

1 Tea Spoon Cumin Seeds (Jeelakarra)

1 Tea Spoon Red Chilly Powder

1/2 Tea Spoon Salt

1/4 Tea Spoon Turmeric

3 Table Spoons Oil

1/2 Tea Spoon Mustard Seeds (Avalu)

15 Curry Leaves

3 Red Chillies Broken into 2 Pieces Each

1 Tea Spoon Ginger Garlic Paste

Cooking Procedure

Fry Sesame Seeds (Nuvulu), Fenugreek Seeds (Menthulu), 1/2 Tea Spoon Cumin Seeds (Jeelakarra) without Oil in a Pan and make powder of it in a grinder.

Add Cut Tomatoes, Red Chilly Powder, Salt, Turmeric, Ginger Garlic Paste to a bowl and mix well. Add 1 Medium Cup of water to it and put it on heater and cook on low heat.

After Tomatoes are half cooked add the ground powder to the cooking ingredients. After Tomatoes are well cooked mash the Tomatoes with Wooden Whisk (Pappu Gutti), keep this aside for later use.

Heat Oil in a pan and add 1/2 Tea Spoon Cumin Seeds (Jeelakarra), Mustard Seeds (Avalu), Red Chillies, Curry Leaves. Fry them until ingredients turn light golden brown color and take off the heat.

Add the fried oil mixture to the mashed tomatoes.nnn Tastes good with steamed Rice, bagara Ricen
