Oil for Deep Frying

Cooking Procedure

1

In a wide bowl add 3 Medium Sized Cups of Wholewheat flour and 1.5 Medium Sized Cups of Water . Mix until firm dough is formed, it should not be smooth. Add wheat powder if there is excess of water in dough or add sprinkle little water if dough is too dry. Keep it a side for 10 mins to 15 mins, Make small lemon sized balls from the dough adding little dry wheat flour in the palms, once done.cover the balls with a lid.Heat oil in a frying pan (kadai) on high heat. To check if oil is ready drop a small piece of dough in the oil, if it floats immedietly oil is ready for making Pooris.Touch little Wheat flour powder on either sides of the dough ball and roll the dough into about 6-inch circled Pooris. If you find it difficult to make Pooris like this then make Chapati and use a round utensil of Poori size and press on the Chapati to make well circled Pooris.Fry the puris in oil till they become light brown in color both sides. Do not flip the puris several times, when one side is done flip it, fry the other side and take it out on a paper towel to drain excess oil.Serve hot with Aloo curry or Chole curry or Rava Halwa or Kheer or Chicken or Lamb Curry.
