kasuri Methi Chole

Ingredients

1/4 Kg Chole (Chickpeas)

1 Onion Chopped

3 Tomatoes Chopped

1 tsp Kasuri Methi (Dry Fenugreek Leaves)

Salt & Chilli to Taste

1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

Pinch of Turmeric Powder

1 tsp Coriander Powder

1/2 tsp Jeera Powder (Cumin Seeds Powder)

1 tbsp Olive Oil

Cooking Procedure

Soak Chole for 7 hours before cooking.

Heat Oil in a cooker and Saute Onion to get brown color. Add Ginger Garlic Paste, Turmeric Powder, Soaked Chole, Salt, Chili Powder, Jeera Powder, Coriander Powder

Mix well and let it cook for 10 minutes on low heat

Add 1 Medium Sized Cup of Water and Chopped Tomatoes.

Cover cooker with the lid and keep it on low heat for 7 whistles after the first whistle. Take off the heat once done.

After the pressure is gone from the cooker, take off the lid and check if the Chole is well cooked.

Check for thickness of gravy and keep it on heat until it reaches thickness of your choice.nn
