n 1.wash quinoa as per directions and keep aside,wash moongdal seperately.nn 2.Take a thick bottom pan or u can cook it in pressure cooker directly.nn 3.Heat ghee and oil ,add peppercorns,cumin seeds,green chillies,nuts,ginger,curryleavesnn and fry.nn 4.Add washed moongdal first,fry it and then add quinoa.nn 5.Stirr for a while add water and let it boil,add salt.nn 6.reduce the heat to medium low and cover and cook till all the water gets absorbed mixing occasionally.nn 7.serve hot with sambar or chutney.nn 8.If u replace quinoa with rice,it becomes regular authentic kattu pongal.n
