Oats are my favourite ingredient when it comes to breakfast. They’re a great way to fill you up, and give you just enough energy to keep you going until lunch. What I like most about oats is their creamy texture, especially when made with milk – my usual choice being almond or coconut. You can also pair almost any flavour with oats due to their mild taste, so I like to experiment with lots of different ingredients. One of my favourite flavour combinations is ginger and cinnamon. I knew that each of these paired well with apple, so in this recipe, I tried mixing the three together. I was so pleased with the result! It’s definitely a favourite oatmeal recipe of mine. These three flavours provide the perfect amount of sweetness, even for those with a sweet tooth. The cinnamon and ginger add a nice layer of warmth, which is perfect for breakfast on a colder day. This recipe gives you a bowl full of comfort, which we all need at this time of year!
