Peri Peri Tofu is a vibrant and flavorful dish that highlights the versatility of tofu paired with the bold, spicy, and tangy notes of Peri Peri sauce. The tofu serves as a perfect protein base, absorbing the rich flavors of a sauce crafted from bird’s eye chili, garlic, lemon juice, vinegar, and a medley of aromatic spices like paprika and oregano.In my recipe, I pan-fry the tofu in olive oil until it’s golden and crispy, then simmer it in the Peri Peri sauce to create a smoky, zesty, and slightly fiery flavor that’s hard to resist. It’s a dish that pairs beautifully with rice, flatbreads, or quinoa and works equally well over a bed of seasoned noodles or alongside roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

12 oz firm or extra firm tofu (340 g)

2 tbsp olive oil (or any oil of your choice)

2/3 cup roasted red pepper ( use homemade or store bought)

1 tbsp dried Italian herb mix
