Wow! This was one amazing pizza! Even my onion-hating husband admitted it was “pretty good.” I wasn’t sure how French onion dip would work as a pizza sauce, but it was fantastic–don’t be afraid to try it. And the balsamic vinegar added such a great flavor to the caramelized onions. I may or may not have eaten a good portion of them before they made it onto the pizza.

Ingredients

Crust for one 12-inch pizza (homemade or store bought)

onion, sliced

brown sugar

butter

balsamic vinegar

garlic cloves, minced

sliced fresh mushrooms

French onion dip

mozzarella cheese

red bell pepper

shredded Swiss cheese

chopped fresh parsley
