An accompaniment which goes well with rice or roti

Ingredients

Tur dal 1 cup

Tomato 3

Ghee 2 tsp

Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp

Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp

Chilli powder 2 tsp

Salt

Asafoetida 1/4 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Cooking Procedure

Cook tur dal in pressure cooker and keep aside. Make seasoning with mustard,cumin,asafoetida ,turmeric powder and the cut tomatoes. Add salt and allow to cook. When done,add the chilli powder and allow to boil for a few second. Then,add the cooked dal and let it blend together. Garnish with fresh coriander.
