About Recipe

Dill is considered a stomach soother and anti-gas remedy.

Ingredients

1/2 Cup Garbanzo beans

2 tablespoons fresh dill leaves chopped finely

1/2 cup finely chopped onions

1 Roma tomato finely chopped

2 green chillies chopped

1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic paste/ grated

1/4 Teaspoon turmeric

less than 1/2 teaspoon Redchilli powder/ cayenne pepper or to taste

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

1/4 teaspoon cumin powder

salt to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Cooking Procedure

n 1. soak the garbanzo beans (chole) for 5 - 6 hrs.nn  nn 2. pressure cook the beans till soft using required water. Drain and keep a side.nn  nn 3. Heat a pan on medium heat, add oil, then add green chillies and onions. Fry till onions starts changing color.nn  nn 4. Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric, fry for 15 - 20 secs. reduce the flame to medium low.nn  nn 5. Add the dill leaves and fry for 1 - 2 mins.nn  nn 6. add the tomatoes, salt, red chilli, coriander, cumin powders and cook till tomatoes become mushy and oil starts to seperate from edges.nn  nn 7. Add the boiled garbanzo beans, 1/4 cup of water  and cook for 10 mins. Adjust water according to the required consistency of the curry.nn  nn 8. serve hot with plain rice, jeera rice or chapathi.nn  n
