Coconut Garlic Chicken Curry

Ingredients

1/2 Kg Chicken

4 Medium Sized Onions Sliced into Thin Vertical Pieces

3 Green Chillies Sliced Vertically into 2 Thin Pieces

1 Table Spoon Mint Leaves

2 Table Spoons Coriander Leaves

4 Tea Spoons Coconut Powder

10 Black Pepper Pieces

1.5 Tea Spoon Ginger Garlic Paste

1/2 Tea Spoon Garam Masala

1.5 Tea Spoon Coriander Powder

4 Table Spoons Oil

1/4 Tea Spoon Turmeric

1.5 Tea Spoon Red Chilly Powder

1 Tea Spoon Salt

8 Garlic Pieces

5 Cardamoms with Skin Peeled Off

Cooking Procedure

Grind Coconut, Pepper, Garam Masala. Add Coriander Powder, Garlic Pieces, Cardmom to the mix and Grind all ingredients again to make fine paste of it.

Mix cleaned Chicken, Ginger Garlic Paste, Turmeric, Salt, Red Chilly Powder in a bowl and let it marinate for 30 minutes.

Heat Oil to a Pan and let the Onions, Green Chillies fry until Onion turns golden brown color.

Add Marinated Chicken to the Onion mix in the Pan and let Chicken cook in its own juices on low heat until the juices are absorbed.

Add 1.5 Medium Cups of water to the Chicken in the pan and keep cooking it on low heat.

After the Chicken is well cooked add masala paste prepared earlier and mix well.

Wait until gravy turns thick enough to your taste, garnish it with Coriander Leaves and turn off the heat.

Procedure for Making Gharam Masala : Grind 1/4 Tea Spoon, 4 Cloves, 4 Cardamoms, 2 small Cinnamon, 8 Pepper pcs, 8 Kababchini pcs to make fine Gharam Masala Powder.
