About Recipe

Rice flakes or beaten rice as it is more commonly known is mixed with a tamarind and jaggery paste that is boiled to a moderate consistency

Ingredients

Beaten rice 4 cups

Tamarind pulp 2 cup

Jaggery 1 cup

Rasam powder 2tsp

Chilli powder 1 tsp

oil 2 tbsp

Turmeric powder

Asafoetida

Bengal gram 1 tsp

Urad dal 1 tsp

Curry leaves

Groundnuts 2 tbsp

Salt to taste

Cooking Procedure

Wash the rice flakes in water and drain the water.nBoil tamarind pulp, jaggery,rasam powder. salt and chilli powder to a slightly thick consistencynAdd oil in a pan and make the seasoning. Then add the groundnuts and let cook for some time. Then add the pulp and simmer for a while. Mix the beaten rice and allow to heat for sometime.
