Ingredients

2 cups rice (uncooked)

1 cup poha/rice flakes.

buttermilk, good enough to soak poha

salt to taste

1/2tsp baking salt

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup grated carrot

2 tsp chopped green chillies

2tbsp chopped coriander

oil

Cooking Procedure

n n soak rice in water and poha in buttermilk separately for about 5 hrsn n blend them for 2mins,dont add too much water while blendingn n batter should be slightly thicker than dosa batter.n n add salt and baking soda and keep aside for 30 to 45 minsn n mix chopped onion,coriander,chillies and grated carrot in bowl separately.n n heat a non stick tawa on medium heat.n n put a laddle full of batter and spread it evenly on the tawan n dont make too thin like dosa and sprinkle onion carrot mixturen n add oil around itn n cover it with a lid and cook for 5 mins on medium flamen n check the colour and flip it carefully and cook on the other side toon n uthappam is ready and serve it with coconut chutney or peanut chutney..nn
