DisplacedHousewife got its’ name many moons ago before we moved to Beijing, China. I thought it would be fun to write about my adventures as a southern Californian trying to make it in Asia with my two kids (a little like Mary Tyler Moore, if she were married, had kids, was moving to Asia, had the mouth of a truck driver and liked her martinis bone dry…I’m talking Sahara dry…ok fine, straight gin with a handful of olives). DisplacedHousewife was originally a book and she’s still there...lingering in the background for now.
