About Recipe

Macaroni and Cheese was brought to America from France and Italy by Thomas Jefferson and served at a State Dinner in 1802. Since then it has become America's favorite dish; beloved by all little kids fortunate enough to have tasted it. That includes us big little kids.

Ingredients

8 oz elbow pasta 2 hot Italian sausage, or other, about 13 oz total sliced into ¼” slices 1 C bread crumbs 1 T unsalted butter 1 T EVOO 2/3 C aged gouda cheese shredded 2/3 C ementaler cheese shredded 2/3 C sharp cheddar 3 1/2 C low fat milk 3 T Dijon mustard 2 T Worcestershire sauce 2 T parsley leaves 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped, red preferable for appearance 2 T shallots, chopped or 3 green onions, sliced 2 T flour
