About Recipe

This is a very nutritious recipe for diabetic people and growing kids. Can be had for breakfast or as a snack.

Ingredients

1 cup ragi flour

1/2 cup grated carrot

1/2 cup grated bottlegourd (sorakaya/lauki)

1/2 cup curd

1/4 cup finely chopped onions

2 tablespoons Bengalgram (chana dal)

3/4 teaspoon greenchilli paste or redchilli powder or to taste

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

2 tablespoons finley chopped coriander(cilantro) leaves

Few curry leaves finely chopped

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons oil

water as needed

Cooking Procedure

n  nn 1. Soak the chanadal for 1 hr.nn 2. In a bowl mix all the ingredients,except water and oil.nn 3. Now add the water slowly and mix well till a pouring consistency batter is formed. The batter should be little thicker than the dosa batter.nn 4. Heat a nonstick skillet/ tawa on medium heat. When hot add  little oil. Pour the ragi batternn  on the skillet into desired shape and size. The thickness should less than the normal pancake.nn 5. Cover it and  cook on medium low heat 4 - 5 mins each side. If you want a crispy texture cook for few more mins.nn 6. Serve hot with curdcoconut chutney or  or can be eaten as it is.n
