About Recipe

Ideal for lunch boxes with yogurt and a fruit.

Ingredients

3/4 - 1 cup frozen or fresh corn (makai)

1 cup whole wheat flour ( atta) + more for rolling

1/2 - 3/4 cup fresh cilantro (coriander)

3 - 4 green chillies or to taste

1 big garlic clove

1 inch piece fresh ginger

salt to taste

2 -3 tablespoons oil

1/2 teasoon jeera

Cooking Procedure

n 1. In a blender or food processor add corn, cilantro, green chillies, garlic and ginger and grind it to a slightly coarse mixture. It should not be too smooth or too coarse mixture.nn 2. In a wide bowl add wheat flour, salt, two teaspoons oil and jeera. Mix well.nn 3. Now add the corn, cilantro mixture and mix well. Start adding water as required and knead well for 2 - 3 mins. It requires very leass amount of water.nn 4. Keep it a side for 15 mins.nn 5. Heat a griddle (tawa) on medium high heat.nn 6. Make  golf sized smooth balls out of the dough.nn 7. Roll them into 5 - 6 inches circled rotis using dry wheat flour as required.nn 8. When the griddle is hot place the roti over it, when small bubbles start to appear, flip it and apply oil with a spoon or brush.nn 9. Flip again and apply oil to the other side. Keep turning the roti till both side are well cooked as shown in the picture. (Tip: rotate the roti while cooking so that it cooks evenly)nn 10. Serve hot with raita/ plain yogurt/ cream cheese/ sour cream.nn  n
