Ingredients

1 Large Broccoli

2/3 Cup Moong Dal (Split Yellow Gram)

1 Cup Sliced Onions

4 Green Chillies Chopped or to taste

2 Dry Red Chillies

1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste

1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds

2 Tablespoons Oil (Olive Oil is better)

Handful of Coriander (Cilantro Leaves) chopped

1 large garlic clove, thinly sliced.

Salt to taste.

1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Procedure

n 1. Wash and Soak the Moong Dal for 30 mins.nn 2. Cut the broccoli into large florets, soak them in salt water for 10 mins. Wash well and keep a side.nn 3. Heat a pan on medium heat, add oil. When the oil is hot add dry red chillies, cumin seeds. When cumin seeds starts to splutter, add the cut green chillies, sliced onions and garlic. Fry them till onions starts to change the color to light brown. Do not burn the onions.nn 4. Then add the ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder. Mix well.nn 5. Add the Broccoli, Moong dal and mix well. Cover it and cook, mixing in between.nn 6. When the water is totally absorbed add around 1/2 cup water and salt. cover it and cook until moong dal becomes soft but not mushy. Add more water if required.nn 7. Add the end add coriander (cilantro)leaves and remove from heat.nn 8. Serve it hot with Rice or Roti.n
