About Recipe

Tried this easy ginger chicken without adding soya sauce and it turned out very tasty.

Ingredients

Chicken - 1kg

Turmeric Powder - Less than 1/2 Teaspoon

Chili Powder as needed

Salt as needed

Tomatoes - 5 medium sized

Onions - 3 medium sized

Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Teaspoons

Thin Ginger Slices - 1 Tablespoon

Curry Leaves - 15 Leaves

Curd - 2 Tablespoons

Lemon - 1

Coriander Powder - 1.5 Teaspoon

Garam Masala - 1/2 Teaspoon

Pepper Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon

Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon

Oil as needed

Jaggery Powder - Less than 1/2 Teaspoon

Cooking Procedure

Apply lemon, chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and curd to the cleaned chicken. Let it marinate for a while.

Make paste of cut onions, tomatoes and curry leaves.

Heat Oil in a wide pan and add marinated chicken to it. Let it cook on medium heat.

Taken another pan, heat oil and add onion, tomatoes and curry leaves paste and mix well. Add coriander powder, garam masala, cumin seeds powder, pepper powder and keep mixing until cooked.

Check the chicken, when cooked water can be if required. Add cooked paste, ginger slices, spring onion to the chicken and let it cook for 10 minutes.

Add jaggery powder and mix well before taking off the heat.
