Amla (Gooseberry) Chutney

Ingredients

2 Cups of Chopped Amla (Gooseberry)

6 Medium Sized Green Chilly Chopped finely

1 Table Spoon Coriander Leaves

1 Table Spoon Mint Leaves

1/2 Tea Spoon Ginger Pieces

5 Garlic Pieces

1 Spoon Cumin Seeds ( Jeera / Jeelakarra )

1.5 Table Spoons Seasame Seeds (Nuvvulu) Powdered

1/2 Tea Spoon Mustard Seeds (Avalu)

Salt to Taste

10 Curry Leaves

1 Table Spoon Edible Oil

2 Red Chillies Broken into Two Pieces each

Cooking Procedure

Grind Amla (Gooseberry) , Green Chilly Pieces, Coriander Leaves, Mint Leaves, Ginger, Garlic, Seasame (Nuvvulu) Powder, 1/2 Tea Spoon Cumin Seeds (Jeer / Jeelakarra ), Salt. Keep the paste aside for later use.

Heat Oil in a pan and add 1/2 Tea Spoon Jeelakarra (Cumin Seeds), Avalu (Mustard Seeds), Red Chilly, Curry Leaves, saute until them turn golden brown color.

Take off the heat and mix the above mixture to Amla mixture paste. nnn Amla is considered very good for health. Goes well with White Rice & Curd.
