About Recipe

This is a traditional peas recipe. In Greece, it is also known as Arakas Latheros, which means oiled peas. It is nice to eat it with feta cheese and/or your baked meat (chicken or pork).

Ingredients

Frozen garden peas (1 1/2 kg)

400 g of tin chopped tomatoes

3-4 spring onions, chopped

3 table spoons of fresh dill, chopped

Cooking Procedure

n  nn n n Take a large saucepan and add some oil.n n Add the chopped onions and sauté them over medium heat.n n Add the peas and turn them around 2 to 3 times.n n Add the tomato sauce, the dill, the chopped potato (optional), the carrot, some water, salt and pepper.n n Stir the ingredients well.n n Partially cover the saucepan.n n Taste in order to add more salt if needed.n n Cook for around 30 minutes, until peas, potato and carrot are soft and water is evaporated.n nnn  n
