The best apple pie, a lot of apples with cranberries, meringue and gluten free dough.

Ingredients

2 ½ cup gluten free flour

½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

½ cup sugar

4 egg yolks

1 cup (200g) butter or vegetable substitute

2 kg of apples

juice of ½ lemon

1 ½ tbsp. cornstarch or potato starch

½ cup dried cranberries

4 egg whites

¾ cup sugar

2 tbsp cornstarch or potato starch

Cooking Procedure

n All ingredients should be at room temperature. Put all ingredients (first 6 items) in a bowl and mix – knead the dough. Divided dough into to parts (bigger and smaller) – wrapped in foil and put into freezer for about 20 minutes.nn Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175C). Baking pan grease with fat or lined with baking paper. Remove the biggest dough from freezer, roll  and put into bottom of baking pan (you can also do it using fingers). The dough punctured in several places with a fork and bake for 15 minutes.nn Peel the apples, remove the seeds and cut into cubes – put into bowl. Add lemon juice, starch and cranberries – mix. Whip egg whites to stiff, add sugar mix until cream will be dense, add starch and mix gently with a spatula.nn Put the apples on cake bottom, then add cream from whites and grate last part of cake. Put cake in the oven and bake for 50 minutes. Cool cake in the oven.nn Bon Appetit!n
